The primary purpose of this book is to help people understand what makes Christianity so trustworthy. Many books are available on the scientific evidence for creation, but most are difficult to share due to the technical nature of the subject matter. This book is written to be enjoyed as a daily devotional (365 articles) but can also serve as an easy-to-read resource on the physical evidence that our Creator exists.
God’s desire is that the knowledge of what He has done through both the cross and creation is for everyone. We must not keep this knowledge to ourselves. The evidence that He is our Creator is so overwhelming and encouraging that it desperately needs to be shared in the world today. A Closer Look at the Evidence is designed to both reinforce our individual faith and facilitate sharing the reasons for this faith. Consider praying about how God could use you to utilize the truths found within these pages.
Each page summarizes an interesting fact about God's creation in such topics as biology, physics, chemistry, botany, archaelogy, and so many more. The reader is encouraged to find more extensive and detailed information through the sources listed at the bottom of each page. Occasionally the source is quoted directly, but more often the material is summarized.

ABOUT THE AUTHORS: Richard and Tina Kleiss have been public school science teachers for many years. Richard holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked as an engineer for 13 years before returning to school to earn a teaching degree in chemistry, physics, and mathematics. He taught both junior and senior high school science and math courses for 15 years. Tina has a B.S. and M.A. degree in education. She has taught elementary and junior high science for over 32 years.
As science teachers, the Kleisses had a particular interest in the question of origins. Their research led them to the discovery that the scientific evidence overwhelmingly supports creation. After witnessing evolution being presented as a fact in the media and textbooks while the evidence for creation was being systematically excluded, the authors decided to continue their study, compile their findings, and write A Closer Look at the Evidence as a resource for others. For over a decade the Kleisses have taught classes and given seminars on creation/evolution to audiences ranging from kindergarten to adult. The authors have currently retired from public education in order to devote full time to bringing seminars on the evidence for creation to both students and adults.
The authors’ desire is not that this book be used for the purpose of ridiculing the beliefs of evolutionists, but that it would strengthen our faith in the Word of God. Their hope is that this book would be a useful tool for parents who need to find answers to their children’s questions, students who want to investigate the credibility of Christianity, and teachers who want to study the problems with evolution. Rich and Tina reside in Gladwin, Michigan.
