ABOUT THE BOOK:

The doctrine of submission is perhaps one of the most misunderstood doctrines found in the Bible.  Nevertheless, it is a teaching that is intended for every Christian to observe and to apply to every aspect of his life.  What has been forgotten is that submission is a means whereby the believer can honor the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is unfortunate that far too many have limited the Biblical instruction for submission to a single Scripture verse in the book of Ephesians where wives are told to submit to their own husbands, but it is not the only verse in which submission is taught.  It is not the only area of life in which believers are taught to be submissive.  The truth is that God expects every believer to practice submission in various aspect of their lives.  Submission is to hold a viable, active part in the life of a Christian.

Submission, as a part of the Christian’s life, does not enslave as many think.  Submission liberates as it frees the believer from the pressures of life and of the world.  When practiced, submission elevates the believer to a pleasing, useful, and important status to and for God.  Submission in the life of a believer is a mosaic of God’s love.

It is my prayer that this booklet will enlighten, encourage, and exhort Christians to take a closer look at the doctrine of submission.  Then, for believers to be challenged to accept this important teaching, and to incorporate Biblical submission into their daily lives.
