ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Rev. J. Gregory Mantle (1853-1925) had a wide and varied ministry in Great Britain, America, and around the world. For many years he was the well-loved superintendent of the flourishing Central Hall in Deptford, England, as well as a popular speaker at Keswick and other large conventions for the deepening of spiritual life. He spent the last twelve years of his life in America, where he was associated with Dr. A.B. Simpson and the Christian and Missionary Alliance. He travelled extensively, holding missions and conventions all over the States. He was an avid supporter of foreign missions throughout his entire career. He also edited a missionary paper and wrote several books.
